Meet Nick (pictured below), he is one of the rescued lions we are planning to relocate to our sanctuary soon. We have managed to raise just over R200 000 of the R900 000 required to enable us to provide sanctuary to the rescued circus lions and would like to thank all our generous donors. Your generosity has enabled us to start the process of relocating Nick and the other lions to our sanctuary. Nick story is not unique. A circus is not an appropriate home for ANY animal. Circus animals are kept in small and inappropriate cages, transported from venue to venue and made to perform unnatural acts in a stressful environment. Nick has been confiscated from the horrendous conditions pictured below and is recovering from surgery. As soon as he is well enough he will be transferred to us, where he will be able to live out his life in natural surroundings and treated with the compassion and respect he deserves.
